29th June 2007 Windsurfing: Rutland Water SC Wind Direction: W - WSW Wind Stength: F3 gusting F4 Surf / Sea State: small chop Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived to find Nick blasting about on his 102 FSW and 6.5 so rigged up the 7.0 and went out on the FS. Planed over to the peninsula and back a couple of times fully powered before the wind dropped for the second night in a row. Went in and rigged the big kit - first tack over near the peninsula and the Loopmaster UJ bought from Cygnus on ebay snapped!!! Fortunately the old man had arrived and was able to bring over a spare - otherwise it would have been a long walk/paddle home. Rest of the session was ok but wind was gusty planing 75% of the time. |
